Westminster University Partnership: Expanding KOICA AI Training Center

Today we had a productive meeting with Westminster University representatives in Tashkent to discuss their participation in our KOICA-funded AI Training Center initiative. The discussion focused on creating accessible, industry-oriented AI education opportunities for students and professionals in Uzbekistan.

The program’s key features include:
- Comprehensive Training: 16-week courses focusing on AI prompt engineering, data analysis, and data science
- Industry Partnerships: Collaboration with KT (Korea Telecom) and Microsoft for Azure certification
- Accessible Education: Affordable tuition with refund opportunities upon completion
- Flexible Learning: Evening classes to accommodate working professionals
- Practical Focus: Hands-on experience with real-world applications

This two-year project, with potential for extension, aims to train 60 students initially, starting with 20 in the first year. Westminster University’s involvement will be crucial in identifying suitable candidates and providing academic support.

The meeting highlighted our shared commitment to developing AI talent in Uzbekistan through practical, industry-relevant training. We look forward to working with Westminster University to make this initiative a success.
