Cheju Halla University and Pix4D to launch Asia Hub Training Center, South Korea
✈️ Right after wrapping up my Tashkent mission (Oct 15–17), I made another long hop to Lausanne from Jeju—and it was an important one. We’ve signed an MoU with Pix4D to establish the Pix4D Asia Hub Training Center at Cheju Halla University (CHU) in Jeju, Korea.
Why This Matters
-
Regional gateway: Jeju’s location connects Northeast ↔ Southeast Asia, making it ideal for international education in photogrammetry and digital twin technologies.
-
Live testbed: Jeju’s Drone Special Liberalization Zone enables rapid, real‑world demonstrations of next‑gen geospatial workflows.
-
Beyond classrooms: The Center will evolve into an R&D outpost, accelerating applied geospatial innovation for the region.
The MoU becomes effective immediately and will last for five years—another step toward building a world-class pipeline of geospatial talent across Asia.
Looking Forward
This partnership represents a significant milestone in our commitment to advancing geospatial education and innovation in the Asia-Pacific region. By leveraging Jeju’s unique position as both a geographic hub and a regulatory testbed, we’re creating an educational ecosystem that goes beyond traditional boundaries.
Thank you, Andrey Kleymenov, for your warm welcome and support in making this vision a reality.
