In the first week of January, CJ and Seamus flew all the way to Jeju to teach our students design thinking. Today, we came to them.

As part of our Global Space Bootcamp study tour, our students from Cheju Halla University visited Stanford University and had the chance to reconnect with the very people who shaped how they think.

A Circle Inside the d.school Studio

Sitting in a circle inside the d.school studio, students shared what that January workshop meant to them. Design thinking changed the way they approach problems, and it directly helped them produce stronger results at our hackathon.

Hearing students articulate that connection on their own, in a room thousands of miles from Jeju, was one of those moments that reminds me why I do this work.

Connections Become Ecosystems

We took a group photo in front of the iconic red d.school bus. What started in Jeju has now become a real relationship that stretches across the Pacific.

We promised to meet again in Jeju. Short encounters like these may seem small, but I believe they are the building blocks. Connections become programs. Programs become ecosystems.

CJ, Seamus Yu Harte, Miki Sode — it was so great to see you again. See you in Jeju.
