Agentic AI-Based Intelligent Education Platform
Joint development of AI Professor System integrating Saltlux LUXIA LLM and Cheju Halla's education platform
Overview
What if every student had access to a personal AI tutor that understood their learning style, could answer questions about any course material, and adapted in real time? This project, part of the RISE (Regional Innovation System & Education) program, is building exactly that — an intelligent education platform powered by agentic AI.
How It Works
The platform integrates Saltlux’s LUXIA large language model with Cheju Halla University’s education system to create AI-powered learning agents. These agents use a semantic knowledge graph combined with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to provide accurate, context-aware responses grounded in actual course materials rather than generic AI outputs.
The “agentic” design means the AI doesn’t just answer questions — it can proactively suggest study materials, identify knowledge gaps, and guide students through complex topics step by step.
Multi-Institutional Collaboration
This is a consortium project bringing together complementary expertise from four institutions: Cheju Halla University leads platform development and integration, Yonsei University contributes research expertise, KAIST provides advanced AI model development, and Saltlux supplies the core language model technology.

Impact
The platform aims to demonstrate how AI can enhance personalized learning at scale, strengthen regional AI innovation ecosystems, and provide a replicable model for AI-augmented education at other institutions.
