On March 30, Cheju Halla University celebrated its 57th founding anniversary. At the ceremony, I received a presidential commendation (표창패 No. 588) from President Sunghoon Kim for my work as the KOICA project director.
The citation recognized contributions to university development through faithful execution of duties as the principal investigator of the KOICA civil society cooperation program, specifically our AI Training Center at Tashkent International University in Uzbekistan.
This project has been a team effort from day one. The recognition belongs equally to the colleagues in Jeju and Tashkent who have made the center operational: 15 graduates in Year 1, Azure certifications, internship placements, and now a Year 2 cohort of 45 students with an expanded 4-course curriculum.
